What are flavoured toothpicks, and why is everyone chewing on one?
24 October 2026
Flavoured toothpicks (also spelled flavored toothpicks) are exactly what they sound like: toothpicks that taste of something. Mint, cinnamon, apple, you name it. They've been around for a while, but they're having a moment.
What they're made of
A good flavoured toothpick starts with good wood. Stoopid toothpicks are made from 100% natural birchwood: smooth, sturdy and splinter-free.
The flavour goes into the wood itself. No synthetic flavours and no weird chemicals. They're BPA-free and biodegradable too.
Why people use them
Fresh breath after a meal, without reaching for gum or a mint.
Something to do with your hands (and mouth) when you're stressed, bored, or standing in a corner at a party with no drink and no words.
A quiet post-meal flex. Slide a pick between your teeth and let everyone know dinner is done.
How to use a flavoured toothpick
Pop one out. Put it in your mouth. That's it. For the most flavour, let it sit for 10 to 15 seconds before you start chewing.
It's a toothpick, not a snack, so don't swallow it. And it's a pointy bit of wood, so don't walk around in the dark, run, or fall asleep with one in your mouth, and keep them away from small kids.
Which flavour should you start with?
Mint is the classic: cool, fresh, and the closest thing to replacing gum. Cinnamon is warm and spicy. Apple is fruity and a bit unexpected. If you can't decide, get the Variety Pack and try all three.
